UPDATE: Internet and Telephone Outage in Minneapolis and Bennington

UPDATE: Thursday, September 12 - 8:30 a.m.
Eagle Communications technicians worked throughout the overnight hours to repair the fiber optic line and restore services to our customers in Bennington and Minneapolis.

Eagle Communications is currently experiencing an outage of Internet and Telephone services affecting our customers in Bennington and Minneapolis. A vehicle accident this afternoon hit one of Eagle's fiber optic equipment locations and damaged the fiber-optic cable. Our technicians are currently working to fix the Internet and Telephone outage and will have services restored as soon as possible. We are estimating the repair will be after Midnight tonight.

Abilene Broadcast Channel Outage - June 7, 2012

Due to circumstances beyond Eagle's control, we are experiencing an outage of the following networks in the Abilene area:
KSNW (NBC)
KSAS (FOX)
KSCW (CW)
KMTW (MY TV)
KTWU (PBS)
KAKE (ABC)
KWCH (CBS)
WIBW (CBS)

Both the standard definition channels and the high definition channels are affected by this outage. Our engineers are working with our distribution partners to resolve this problem. We are estimating these channels will be back online sometime this afternoon.

Wray, Colorado Outage Over

Eagle Internet services in Wray, Colorado are operational as of 5:25 p.m. MDT on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Eagle Communications technicians were able to replace equipment today damaged by a Sunday-night thunderstorm.

OUTAGE UPDATE - St. Francis, Bird City & McDonald online

As of 5:25 p.m. CDT, Eagle Communications technicians have restored Internet and Telephone services in St. Francis, Bird City and McDonald, Kansas.

Internet services in Wray, Colorado are scheduled to be repaired on Tuesday, May 1. Technicians are waiting on replacement equipment to make these repairs.


OUTAGE ALERT - Internet & Phone Service Outage in Northwest Kansas/Eastern Colorado


Eagle Communications is currently experiencing an outage of Internet and Telephone services in St. Francis, Bird City and McDonald, Kansas along with Internet services in Wray, Colorado due to weather-related equipment damages at our headend facilities which provide services in these communities.

Our technicians are currently working to fix the Internet & Telephone outage and estimate services will be restored in St. Francis, Bird City and McDonald by the end of today, Monday, April 30.

Internet services in Wray, Colorado should be restored sometime late Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday.

As of 10:37 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, the Cox Communications fiber-optic cable has been repaired. All Eagle Communications services in the communities east of Salina are back up and operational.

OUTAGE ALERT - 2/15/12

February 15, 2012 - 7:45 p.m.
A Cox Communications fiber-optic cable has been cut, causing a telephone/Internet outage to Eagle Communications customers east of Salina. This fiber cut will also affect our television customers East of Salina in the fact that the broadcast networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CW, PBS) feed comes via this Cox fiber-optic cable.

We have been in communication with Cox Communications regarding the outage. Their technicians are working to repair the cut.

Once the repair is made, the services will be restored. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Kohlrus Named GM of Eagle Broadband Division

Eagle Communications, the state’s premier employee owned media and Broadband Company has appointed Travis Kohlrus to General Manager of the Broadband Division. Kohlrus will focus on implementing ways to enhance every aspect of the overall customer experience. He will lead all aspects of new broadband technology implementation, support and the delivery of quality care to Eagle’s broadband customers throughout Kansas and Eastern Colorado.

Prior to joining Eagle Communications in 2003, Kohlrus spent seven years working for Sykes Enterprises Inc. as a Senior Client Services Manager. He directed customer service and support for many Fortune 500 companies, managed over $10 million in annual revenue, and over 300 customer service agents.

For the past eight years, Kohlrus has volunteered time as a big brother for the local Big Brother and Big Sisters chapter. Currently, he is chair-elect of the Hays Area Chamber of Commerce, a founding advisory council member of the Hays Area Young Professionals, President of the Ellis Alliance, serves on the board of the Ellis Industrial Corporation, a graduate of both Leadership Hays and Leadership Kansas, and is also active in Gideon’s International. Kohlrus previously served as former Campaign Chair and President of the United Way of Ellis County.
